Artist Tom Humphreys allows for a glimpse into a variation of elements of his work and personal history. On the white tiled walls of the Caribic, Humphreys hangs a single rectangular painting, its simplicity and formal similarity to the back drop creates a strangely comfortable awkwardness. On a casually lit table, Humphreys presents a folder of works on paper, throughout the duration of the residency the selection continues to change, creating an informal and intimate situation for viewing. Finally on display is a drawing by Augustus John (1878-1961), originally owned by his father.
