As contracts expire and the option to renew seems financially
impossible, the Caribic Residency in Frankfurt is in limbo.
After almost a year of intense activity, with many supportive
members continuing to arrive, the Caribic announces a limbo
contest. In true Kunstverein (arts club) fashion the contest
attracts many loyal members with the chance to win Residency
15. Not announcing the ultimate closure of the space avoided
the possibility of any unnecessary fond farewell party and provokes
a fiercly competitive showdown. HOW LOW CAN WE GO limbo
night was to become the final curtain in Frankfurt and Residency
15 was to become the limbo contest itself, shared by many wonderful
friends. |
