Password
is a series of publications produced by Simon Denny and his parents in the mid 90’s whilst Denny was still at high school. His mother, an English teacher and his father, a printer, produced the publication for foreigners coming to New Zealand aiming to learn English. Young Denny’s parents, keen to support their aspiring artist son, encouraged him to illustrate the entire series. The complete edition of Password is displayed on the Caribic bar.

The second element of the residency required the Caribic to provide Denny with four randomly selected films in DVD format. The front cover had to be disguised and then the DVDs were placed into the cardboard TV boxes. From the back cover synopsis and image stills, Denny illustrates onto his TV screens what he thought the front cover might be. The DVD TVs were hung at approximately normal TV height.
